Disney+ Hotstar has announced its first Malayalam web series for 2025, Love Under Construction – which has Neeraj Madhav, Gouri G Kishan and Aju Varghese in the lead. The series is expected to drop on the platform in February 2025, even though there’s been no official confirmation on the release date.
The web series, which is reported to be a romcom revolving around the construction of a house, is directed by Vishnu G Raghav, who had earlier helmed Tovino Thomas and Keerthy Suresh’s Vaashi that is currently streaming on Netflix.

Love Under Construction: When and where to watch the Malayalam web series
The streaming platform shared the announcement on January 22, shortly after it was confirmed that Mohanlal’s Thudarum will not be releasing on January 30. While it seem that both announcements might not have a connection, that’s not true. Love Under Construction is also produced by M Renjith, who is also backing the Mohanlal-starrer.
Though the release date of Love Under Construction is yet to be confirmed, theproject as part of Hotstar Specials will be streaming in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.

Aju Varghese’s third Malayalam web series
The project will mark Aju Varghese’s third Disney+ Hotstar web series, following Kerala Crime Files and Perilloor Premier League, which hit the streaming platform last year. The actor is also expected to be part of the second season of Ahammed Khabeer’s Kerala Crime Files that could premiere this year.
The streaming platform, meanwhile, has been at the forefront of greenlighting Malayalam web series. Their previous series 1000 Babies received favourable reviews, and Hotstar is also expected to drop Nivin Pauly’s Pharma and Jeethu Joseph’s Secret Stories: Roslin in 2025.
