Chhaava premiered today and we’ll get straight to the point and say, the surprise element in the periodical was actor Viineet Kumar Siingh, who played Raje’s close confidant Chandogamatya Kavi Kalash.

Chandogamatya, as he was referred to lovingly by Sambhaji Maharaj too in the entire film, he proved at every step that he was loyal to Swaraj. As for Viineet, who played the role, he revealed how hard he and the rest of the cast had prepped, to play revered Maratha warriors in the film.

I learnt horse riding, sword fighting, stick-fighting and spear-fighting etc. And these training periods also coincided with the shooting for the film. You can now say that I am little bit trained in ‘shastra vidya’. I love to learn new things. Thanks to films for giviyme these opportunity. Thanks to Laxman Utekar Sir and Maddock Films.”
On the work front, Viineet will soon be seen Superboys of Malegaon, where he plays a passionate writer. All set to release on February 28, the Reema Kagti directorial will see the actor in a pivotal role. Next up he has Jaat, for which he is currently shooting.
